Sarsa Kitchen + Bar

I’m not the kind of person who can give an immediate answer when I’m asked, “Let’s have lunch, can you suggest a good place?” I will give you a blank face, definitely.  So, when my friend, Marie, said we’ll have lunch at Sarsa Restaurant, I said, what’s that, and where is that?  She said it serves Filipino food, and she’s been craving for it and been wanting to visit the place. When we got there, it didn’t take long for the waiter to get our orders since Marie already knew what to get. Of course we had the Twice-Cooked Pork Read More

Amici’s Buy 1 Take 1 Gelato

Sorry but this is a loooooong overdue post.  It’s been in my draft folder for ages.  I’m way, way behind in my blogging, my bad. I so love ice cream, that’s why when I learned that Amici will be having it’s buy 1 take 1 promo last 28 and 29 July, I was so excited and told hubby that we should go there and treat us for dinner.  So, we went to Amici in Alabang Town Center and before we settled in our seats, I confirmed first with the staff if they were really having a promo for their gelato. Weekend at EDSA Shangri-La

I had a nice bonding time with my 2 kids last weekend at EDSA Shangri-La.  Though there were only 3 of us (hubby was still in Davao and Izah was with her cousins), we still had fun.  We didn’t really do anything except to go for a swim and watch TV, and since we don’t subscribe to Cable TV at home, Faye took advantage and watched cartoons and the finale of the American Idol (which, by the way, I’m sure she had watched dozens of times!).  I had to remind her that we didn’t go there to watch TV but Read More

Josephine’s Restaurant in Tagaytay

Two weekends ago, we wanted to spend some time together, just to maximize the short stay of  my husband with us.  We initially planned to visit some nearby resorts, but unfortunately, all of them were fully booked, so we ended up going to Tagaytay for lunch.  We haven’t eaten at Josephine’s Restaurant for a long time, so we thought of bringing the kids there.  I was surprised to see that they now have available tables outside, when I remember from years ago that it was just an open area in which people take advantage of the view of Taal Volcano Read More

Crabs in Oyster Sauce

When hubby got back from Davao for a week-long stay, he craved for crabs, so we bought some from the wet market near our place.  Since he cooks better than me, I told him that he should be the one to cook our lunch for that day.   Everybody in the family agreed that his recipe was the best!  In fact, even better than the one served in Davao when we tried the crabs buffet  at Glamour Restaurant.  Even my parents enjoyed it, unfortunately, my mother had an arthritis attack  a few hours after eating it, though, I’m not sure Read More
