Year 2010 is about to end. We all had a great time celebrating the holidays with our families. Some of us were even fortunate enough to be visited by our relatives from abroad, and we had lots of reunions to rekindle old relationships with our former schoolmates, colleagues, and friends. It is always a heartwarming feeling to attend reunions, be it with families, old classmates, or friends from way back, although, if we were not careful, with it comes the weight gain that will surely kick in as soon as January comes.
The past year may have its challenges, but I’m sure all of us have learned our lessons from the trials that we have faced. Applying the things that we have learned in the past will not be easy, but with our faith in God, we will never be alone in conquering all the new trials that will come our way. The most important thing is we have families that will never leave our side no matter what, their loyalty will never waver, and with them by our side, everything will be easier to handle.
Let us all make 2011 a much better year, not only for ourselves, but also for our families. Let us make life easier by hanging on to our faith in God. Let us not forget that the best gift that God has given us is the family that we have right now. They may not be the best, but for God, they are the best that He can give us, and we should be thankful for them everyday.
