When You’re Stressed Out

Ever had one of those days when you seem to have a lot of things that need to be done that 24 hours simply were not enough?  Or you simply cannot find the energy to stay alert even after drinking so many cups of coffee?

So, how do you lift your spirits up when these things happen?

You should have your own “Me Moments” in order to re-charge yourself!  Here are some ideas that have worked wonders for a lot of mommies out there, most of them have worked for me as well.

  • Go to the spa.  Nothing beats a good massage when your bones and muscles are just so tired and aching.
  • Have a nice haircut. Or try a different hair color, put on a little makeup, have a nice manicure and pedicure. These things will surely make you totally refreshed and reenergized.
  • Go shopping. Yes, it’s part of the list! But remember not to overdo it unless you want to go beyond your budget. Your ultimate goal should only be to buy something that will lift your spirits up.
  • Sleep. A quick nap can work magic on your mood.
  • Do some yoga. It helps you relax.
  • Start a diary, if you still don’t have one, but if you do, make sure to write on it on a regular basis. It is therapeutic.  It also helps to be reminded that once  in your life, you came across really trying times, which made you stronger as you faced more challenges in life.
  • Read a good book. Again, this is very therapeutic. Reading brings you to different worlds and you can let your imagination run wild.
  • Do some crafts. If you’re the crafty type, make some handmade cards for your loved ones.
  • Read the Bible. This great book will remind you that you are blessed and that you are not alone.

These are only a few of the things that you can do during your “Me Moments”.  I’m sure you can still come up with a lot more.
