Caring for our parents when they are old is considered to be a part of our responsibility as their children. The belief is that they took care of us when we were young, so, when the time comes that they wouldn’t be able to take care of themselves anymore, it is now our turn to do so. It’s important that they don’t lose their identity just because they got old, they should also still feel important and useful. Although of course sometimes, the quality of their lives is diminished due to the limited social interaction that they would have as Read More

Farewell Madam President Cory Aquino

It was so heartwarming to witness a historical event unfold before my eyes. We just came back from the Manila Cathedral where we witnessed the funeral of former President of the Philippines Corazon Cojuangco Aquino. Her family was back for only a short time, in fact, last Saturday was their last day and their flight back to NZ was in the evening, so, I really had to see her. Actually, they already went to my place last Tuesday, but unfortunately, we weren’t home when they came. Read More

My Multiply Store

1

As I have mentioned in my previous post, I’m now doing some preparations for my new venture — handmade wedding invites. And while I’m at it, I decided to “revive” my old Multiply store. Honestly, I’ve neglected this for over a year I think, but now I decided to get serious and really market my personalized photo invites, so I posted some of the layouts that I’ve made and I’m now busy doing more samples. Hopefully, by next week I’ll be able to upload more samples. This is really the type of work that I enjoy doing, it’s not like Read More
