Dear God, we all know the power of your love for us. We know that you only want what's best for us. We know that whatever happens, you wouldn't forsake us. Please help us in manifesting your love for us by showing us also how to love the country that You gave us. As we near the time of choosing a new leader for our nation, please help us to be more discerning, help us to be more vigilant, help us to be more prayerful because we know that more than anything else, these are the most powerful weapons that we can ever have during these times. Dear God, we hope and pray that the future leader of our nation will be a person of great honor; we hope and pray that all of us will be able to see the goodness in his/her heart. All of these will only be possible through your guidance and power. Amen.

Faye had her first holy communion last December 11. I really like the way her school organizes events like this. They never fail to impress me in terms of preserving the solemnity of the occasion. My two older kids also had their first holy communion in this school and it just gets even better. 
Preparations were done more than a month prior to the scheduled date, and the kids were really well-disciplined and they really followed all the instructions given to them. The physical arrangements were very good and even the Officiating Priest was very impressed with all the preparations done. The event was done during nighttime, so the lights and surroundings added to the cool ambiance.
