Faye had her first holy communion last December 11. I really like the way her school organizes events like this. They never fail to impress me in terms of preserving the solemnity of the occasion. My two older kids also had their first holy communion in this school and it just gets even better.
Preparations were done more than a month prior to the scheduled date, and the kids were really well-disciplined and they really followed all the instructions given to them. The physical arrangements were very good and even the Officiating Priest was very impressed with all the preparations done. The event was done during nighttime, so the lights and surroundings added to the cool ambiance.
For this year, the kids had to walk all the way to the venue with lighted candles guiding them; when I saw my daughter walking, I became teary-eyed, it suddenly dawned on me that she’s not a baby anymore, she’s now a little girl ready to receive Jesus in her life.
