Christmas in my office

We had our first-ever Floor Decoration contest in my department in the office.

The theme was Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. It was a success! The Local Staff had a blast! The Expats did their share by allowing the local staff to decorate their rooms, walls and doors. Teamwork was also very evident.

The judges had difficulty in determining the winners. But finally, they came up with the top 3: The Night Before Christmas (the team members plastered crepe paper on the walls of their room, covered their computer monitors and made them look like a chimney, very creative indeed!), The Winter Wonderland (they covered the carpeted floor with cottons — like snow), The Christmas in Asia (the team members did a lot of research on how the other countries celebrate Christmas). All the others also got consolation prizes. But, as all of us said, it’s not the prizes anymore that’s important, but rather, the teamwork, the camaraderie, and the festive atmosphere that was present in the office during and after the decorations were put up.
