Faye won in the Battle of the Brains – Spelling!

I should have shared this a long time ago (like, 2 months ago!). Faye finally won in the Battle of the Brains – Spelling in her school. She bested 10 other contestants. This was the first time that she won! We were so happy.... The sad news was, her Dad and I weren’t there when the certificate was given to her, because we immediately left the school right after the contest. We didn’t know that the certificate will be given on the same day. The mommy of one of her classmates just sent me a text to inform me. But, we didn’t let it dampen our excitement over her winning. We bought her a cake to celebrate at home, and we took her picture holding her certificate.
